Captive hatched specimens can be just as good as a cb ball python if monitored properly for the first few months as well as having a vet exam and a fecal smear.. If you can buy a captive Bred you midaswell even if the captive hatched is cheaper because after vet check, fecal smear and everything else, you've already surpassed the costs of a quality captive bred :) hope this helps :)

i think they do not eat as well and can bea bit of a headache plus they are so readily available captive bred that supporting the removal of eggs or snakes from the wild is just plane wrong and unnessisary. IMHO.

CH balls, depending on the source where you get them from, can be anything from non-feeding mite cases to healthy babies with an excellent appettite. Again, its all about who starts them. If you do decide on a CH ball be careful who you are getting one. Also, when you purchase CH balls you are not supporting our own breeders that work very hard to produce quality animals, and instead are supporting the people that take the shortcuts and the whole farming industry, which is really quite unecessary since these animals can be successfully bred in captivity. Animals are still being taken from the wild to have eggs collected, etc, and IMO this isn't the way it needs to be with all the progress in captive breeding. Here's a link on the subject that we discussed a little back...

......plus, you're supporting the depletion of this animal from their natural habitat in HUGE numbers. They get boxed together in large quantities and suffer being jostled around, inadequate heat and consequent illnesses. Many of them die. :( Makes me feel really sad. :(

well I have never really been big on the idea of WC and CH and I love supporting the canadian breeders. I was just wondering everyones view on this...I was curious if the snakes that were CH carried disease and infestation like the WC. I really prefer my CB balls that I know have been started good and are eating for me right away
