Name that snake...

Does anyone know what kind of snake this is?

I believe it to be a garter snake, however the brown throws me off.

I found it in my backyard, located in South Western Ontario.

That's definitely a garter. I don't know the exact species, but it's pretty harmless.

Nice little garter! I have a lot of great memories from when i was little catching them. :)
