Hello, I'm new here.
I wanted to share the surprise I had yesterday morning.
I have a 12yo ball python. Owned her all her life. She's my only snake.
She has not been hungry and wanted to be left alone lately so I did. Although I thought it was strange she was hanging out in her warm house. All her temps were perfect. She's a big fat happy healthy snake so I wasn't too worried

I lift her house to do a spot clean and check her and she had babies on-top of her!! 3 fully hatched.
Surprised is an understatement. I did NOT know they were capable of this haha What I'm learning is this is parthenogenesis. 7 eggs total. Three fully hatched and healthy. Two not viable, one unhatched but looks good and one hatching although she looks pretty thin..
I was not prepared for these children at all so a local breeder took them.

Has anyone else here experienced this?? Is she going to do this again?

This is some Virgin Mary Jurassic park stuff. I'm amazed she could do this!
