New KSB owner needs help

Hi All. Thanks for letting me join this group. My son and I got a KSB for his birthday.
He's currently in a 10 gallon fish tank. 1-2 inches of aspen chips, Stick on heater on one side set to 89 degrees with digital thermometer. Left side has a half log and a heavy plastic bowl with clean water.

About 6-8 inches long, less than a year old. We got him about 3 weeks ago. After trying to feed him a frozen pinky (we went through 2 of them as we only refroze them once each, he ate his first live pinky about 1 week after we took him in, 2nd week we tried to feed him frozen, but again was rejected.
Of course he greedily ate another live one.
My son did notice his scale color was different so we though he was getting ready to molt. The next day we started spraying the cool side of the enclosure with our RO water about 2-3 times a day to bring up the humidity. We also got him a small humid hide for the cool side of the enclosure and put clean paper towels in it

One week later the old skin has come off his head, but still has old skin from neck down. Is this normal? Is he taking too long to shed? Should we try feeding him?

It means the humidity never got to an appropriate level to completely shed.

I would put the snake in a small rubbermaid with a thin layer of water in it, enough that it isn't really swimming. Leave it for 15 - 20 mins and then put it back into it's enclosure, hopefully it should move enough to take the skin off.

So we got a plastic box container put a number of sheets of paper towels and then soaked them with 90F water so the water is just about level with the towels. We then put Mr. Fangs in there while keeping a heating pad underneath with a thermostat set for 90F. We kept him in there for about a hour with a log with bark on it. He was able to remove all of his skin including his eyecaps.
He just ate a pinky 24 hours later and is doing fine.

His enclosure is kept at about 50% humidity which I heard is good enough for shedding. Should we crank up the humidity to 80% the next time? We don't want to go through with this ordeal again....

Hi guys, I'm new here. They brought me this miracle for my birthday and Mr. Frugby did not eat his little fingers after two days. The water temperature was adequate, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Has anyone experienced this?

My little guy wouldn't eat his first pinkey (was live for awhile until the poor thing probably died of shock) but that was only 3 days after his shipment ordeal (ordered him off xyzreptiles) so I figured he was just unsure about his surroundings. Since then he's had 2 frozen pinkies and molted once.

My question is: I can't smell or find any snake poop. At all. Where is his poop going from the pinkies? I once had a young corn snake that ate a pinky and pooped huge and smelly. This guy's not pooping at all so is he digesting every last bit?

I'm thinking he needs 2 pinkies at a time because I don't think he's big enough for a fuzzzy.

It's really small for pinkies. Also they don't always go right away. It should be somewhere or buried a bit under substrate.
