Hi, only joined so I could put this link up on a thread where someone had asked if snakes could growl, and Dr Viper said they didn’t think snakes could - this came up as a result of a search I did about snakes growling after seeing a black mamba on Gogglebox tonight doing exactly that.
Joined, then found there seems to be no DM or PM here without AIM or AOL or something, and thread old and closed so can’t post there.

I don’t own any snakes, have handled a yellow boa constrictor a couple of times and have remained fascinated from a distance ever since. I was shocked to hear a snake growling, but apparently it’s not that uncommon if they feel threatened. I found this article very interesting, maybe someone here will, too, or maybe someone else will search “Do all snakes growl?” and will find this link.
