Hi,
we are working to get our vivarium ready for our first snake, a grey banded kingsnake, and need a bit of advice on the heating.
It is nocturnal so my immediate idea was to go for a ceramic bulb and led lighting (including some kind of blue moonlight for night time)
But, I'm thinking, this isn't really going to heat the rocks very well, as the sun would do in the desert. Is it better to go for a tungsten lamp? and if so would I then need to get a another thermostat for a nighttime ceramic heater?
I don't want to go down the heat mat if possible.
any help appreciated.
