Hello so recently I decided to get a baby boa red tail boa. I bought it from underground reptiles and by the looks of it he seems very healthy. However, I am having a problem getting him to eat. I have had him in his enclosure for a little more than a week, since last Thursday to be exact. I do believe his temps are good(90/95 degree hot spot) and I spray his enclosure twice a day to get his humidity up. I think the reason he may not be eating is due to stress. I tried to feed him the first few days I got him and I now realize this was a mistake because they need a acclimation period. However I’m not sure what I should do now to try and get him to eat. I tried leaving him alone for a few days, covering all sides of his cage but one, I gave him multiple places to hid as well. He moves around a lot and just to test I but my finger in front of the glass and he seemed very interested almost as if it was pray. However, when I take the top off the enclosure he kind of balls up and acts very scared. What should I do to get him to eat? I’m trying f/t fuzzies that are definitely small enough for him to eat. Thank you! One more thing he is in a 20 long if that means anything.
