Hello everyone i'm new here you all sound like a close community the reason i joined was because i have few questions about my new Woma python i got he is about 3 months old. he has been great so far he has had his 4th or 5th feed so far he is still on fuzzies, anyway he has not pooed in over 2 weeks now and I'm starting to get worried. i tried giving him a bath in warm water for 10 minutes but he still had not pooed m going to continue giving him a bath and try put a bit more water in the fuzzy but anyone have any advise that would also help.

One more thing at night he is very active ik this is normal as they are very nocturnal but he climbs up side of the tank, up to the very top but he falls of a lot and there is nothing to cushion his landing is that OK for a ground dwelling snake just wondering if it will hurt him.:)

Welcome to the forum!

I donīt know if fuzzies are big enough for womas, then again I donīt know a lot about womas in general, but I do know this.

Snakes are gonna poop went they want to.

I donīt tell my dog when to go poop, she goes poop when she has to. (A lot of the time its in random places around the house!)

It also depends on the snakes metabolism, some snakes go days, weeks, or months without pooping and are completely fine. Sometimes they hold it when they are going into shed, and as long as they have freshwater your snake is gonna be fine. Keep in mind humans metabolisms are a lot different than snakes, and a lot of people are concerned when they donīt poop or eat because we couldnīt survive that long without food.

If there is a hard lump near the vent, it could be impaction, and if there is get it to the vet.

Just keep feeding appropriately sized prey at the right intervals.

As for your second concern, I have no idea.

I used to have a gray-banded kingsnake; he would climb the side of his tank only to lose his balance in the process as well. I don't know how much harm it caused him and is causing your woma, but it is probably only a small bit of harm (if any).

How high is the tank? I donīt know if womas are semi-aboreal or purely terrestrial or whatever, but I see tons of snakes climbing up the side of the tank.

the tank is 30 cm high and i did some research apparently it does not hurt snakes when they fall of things so i think he will be OK. Thanks for all the feedback and he is pooing again so that is great. :):)
