Which turtles do people like better?

I am not so much into turtles as I am snakes, but I've been into them more recently. I LOVE map turtles, I think they're so cute... I want one but I am responsible human being and am holding off until I have an actual house of my own. Aka. Not an apartment that I may or may not move out of in a year and god only knows if I'll have room for 2 enclosures in my next one.
