New to this fourm

I am getting my first snake in more then 15 years. It is a California king snake and it is a rescue from someone who can no longer care for it. Any tips I have been looking up a bunch of information on them but I want to be more prepared. I have only ever had boas. Any tips welcomed!

Welcome! This species will probably musk when first handled, but they mellow out after a while.
