Rudy hit 37 years with me this past Thursday (Dec 12th). I estimate she was about a year old when I got her so she’s probably about 38. Earlier this year she had surgery to remove some oviduct tissue, cystic material, etc. Fortunately there was no malignancy involved and she went right back to eating/shedding normally (in fact she never stopped). The only clue was a growing bulge to one side along her body. She still does her nightly patrols of her enclosure (unless digesting a meal), can raise up pretty high off the ground, and has a good grip when perched on your arm and exploring, so I’d say she’s still doing very well. I’ll get a current pic of her soon and throw it up here.
