Hello all! I am new to this forum, and have a few questions!

I am obsessed with ATB's, I think they are so cool (why do I always like nasty animals?? Looks over to my Tokay geckos that want to kill me...)

Anyways, I just went to an expo this last sunday, and picked up another gorgeous red tail female (I have kept red tails for a few years). The breeder I bought her from also works with Amazons, and had some AMAZING animals. I have wanted one for years (them and Emeralds, but I've never worked with an abroreal snake, so they are not a good starter lol). Seeing the ones at the show really rekindled my desire to have one! So, I am gonna set up a tank and get one (hopefully!) in january when the next expo rolls around!

Doing research, I have seen some conflicting info about what people are keeping these beauties in.

SO, here are my questions.
1. What do yall recommend as a cage size for an adult?
Currently I have a 30x12x20 glass enclosure that is a bioactive planted terrarium. About 3 inches of that height is taken up by substrate, leaving about 17inches height inside. This tank will be empty of inhabitants, however, I feel like it might be a bit small. Thoughts?

2. How stressed do these guys get?
I have limited places in my room for the enclosure (due to half my wall space being windows, and not able to put enclosures there due to fluctuating temps), the best place I have is a wall, but it is right by my doorway, so it gets quite a bit of activity. Would this freak him out? Would having the side of the cage closest to the door covered (so he couldn't see) help, or would the sounds stress him out?

Thanks for any tips! I will likely have more in the future, these are just the burning ones right now :)

Thanks!

That size would suffice for the time being if you got a young one.

They don't get overly stressed. Good hiding spots and they are pretty easy to care for. Just watch for bites.
