I am new here and I have a strange boa question. I picked up a hypo red tail 2 years ago and she had a couple of weird white scales and in the period I’ve had her she has shed multiple times of course every time she sheds the white scales have spread and now she looks like she’s covered in snow flakes. They feel normal and nothing is wrong with her health wise it’s the first thing I checked. Nobody has been able to tell me anything and she doesn’t look like the snake I bought anymore

Not a big deal. Sometimes snakes have odd colour changes.

Without seeing picture or knowing some background about husbandry, etc...it's impossible for us to help

ive seen this happen on boas before its like reverse paradox, normal paradox are like black scales where these are white, can look cool sometimes
as long as your boa is eating/shedding and acting normal then you boa should be fine

Just some odd genetics, no worries. If our boa was a Dominican mountain boa it would be one of only a few that have been known to do that, and would be worth quite a bit of money, lol.

Doesn't look like anything harmful is happening from that picture. Just some calico spots.
Aslong as there are no chemicals or anything being used on or around the enclosure then I wouldn't worry.

My Hypo has some of the same spots. Normal looking in every way but some areas of white. She is almost two years old and although not as dramatic as your snake, it’s still there. Honestly never gave it a second thought.
