Hey everyone!
New to this forum.
Have been into reptiles for 17 years and am currently 30.
I don’t have anything venomous now but was looking at getting a rattlesnake to add to my collection of animals and was just looking for some advice.
I currently live in Arizona so not entirely sure it’s legal however I know of a few people that have had rattlers without a permit and it seemed fine (don’t get super upset at that).
Looking at a Western Diamondback as I’ve read and witnessed them being a little more calm and easy to take care of but was looking to get as much information as I can here regarding, first and foremost, keeping them as pets.
Again, I understand you may need a permit but is it normal for people to keep rattlesnakes indigenous to the area as pets without necessarily doing it legally? Any rattlesnake better to care for than the other? Thanks!
