(My first post didn't show up, so if there ends up being two of these I am so sorry... *ahem* lets try this again!)
Hello everyone, my name is Kim, and I LOVE reptiles! I have had a WIDE array of animals in my relatively short 27 years of life, but after the flood in louisiana pushing me to Houston right before I lost everything I had left in Harvey, lets just say I haven't had much time to get back into the hobby until now. ;P
At the moment I have a normal ball python I rescued from a pet store, who is doing MUCH better than he was(shed was stuck, even left crinkles in his eyes where the shed wouldnt come off, I thought he was going to be blinded by it!). I tried to save a red tailed boa as well, but the infection had caused his throat to swell so badly he didn't make it through treatment. (the guy running the store would toss him in his KOI POND because he enjoyed watching him swim...)
I am currently attempting to make an enclosure for this Ball Python and another I want to purchase from a repticon once it comes back in October, so until then I want to study and make ABSOLUTELY sure I'm doing everything correctly! I will make a separate thread for the details on that of course.
As you can tell I love to talk, but more importantly I love to learn from others to better myself and the quality of care I am able to give to these reptiles I care so much about. I have done a LOT of research, but so many people give so many different answers its astounding. I want to learn first hand from people who have been through it, and have had success so I can hopefully skip the newbie mistakes. :)
