Question about shedding.

Hey everyone, TITAN (male BCI) shed not too long ago, and the day after he shed, I noticed that on his right eye there was like a dent as if he hit his eye on a rock/hard surface. I checked his shed and everything was there including the "caps" from his eyes or whatever it's called. The size of the dent isn't that big, but I'de just like to know if it's something I should get worried about.

Has anyone experiece something like this during a shed?

It is actually a common occurance.
Usually the enclosure is a tad too hot or not humid enough, so check everything on that area.
And in most cases, a few days of extra misting and the eye will pop back out on its own. If not then, keep the humids up and usually by the next shed.

I am glad that you checked the shed for the eyecaps as most think a dent or a wrinkle is a retained cap.

Remember, just because it's wrinkled or dented, does not always mean a retained cap!!

Like The Omen said, try upping the humidity a bit - dented eyecaps can be a sign of dehydration.

We had a rescue BRB that had been kept in like 50% (max) humidity and even though he was still having decent sheds, he was dehydrated. Upping his humidity to between 80-90% took care of the problem.

Optimal humidity for a BCI should be between around 55-65%

If you don't have a hygrometer (humidity guage) in your snakes enclosure, I highly recommend buying one. You can get digital dual zone thermometer + hygrometer at places like K-mart and Wal-mart for around $20. We use them in all our enclosures. The dual zone variety are especially cool b/c you can monitor temps in 2 separate parts of the cage.

When you all mist, how much water are u putting in the tank?

This has been one of the hardest part with class tanks is keeping humidity up, its no problem in my shoebox setups but glass I am having a hard time with!
