Hello, a few months ago I bought a (juvenile) albino African House Snake, Peaches. I custom-made her viv, and she has been doing great. The only issue was that the lid inside of her viv wasn't quite a right fit, and I used duct tape (Please, I don't need to be told anymore about how bad that is, I completely understand now and feel terrible). She had never ever been able to get up to the lid, and im still not quite sure how she did, being she is only 17in right now. But just the other day I found her on the lid, and partially stuck to the duct tape. Note: Her eyes just began clouding for her shed. She had struggled quite some bit already, and she hurt part of her skin while pulling herself off. She even actually got one of her eyes stuck on it, and to the most amazing luck in the world, it only pulled off the shedding eye cap. I restructured her viv, no more tape, no ways for her to climb out, and it's much better setup now.

I just want to see if anyone has any recommendations for what I can do to help her recover, I understand it will likely take time. I bought betadine and have been applying that lightly to her wound about twice a day to prevent infections. She's on pinkies and hasn't ate since the 11th, but she had already began to refuse eating when her eyes started clouding. So if anyone has any recommendations on what I can do to help my baby girl, I'd highly appreciate it. She is absolutely the most timid snake I've ever had, and will absolutely do everything she can to avoid biting.

Note: a bit of the dark color on her wound in the pictures is due to the betadine, but there were little spots of blood when she initially got hurt, not enough to trickle or anything though. And she has been drinking tons of water, again, probably due to her shed.https://i.imgur.com/F2GpuTN.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/HkZA4Se.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/wDDmlOc.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/v3SkXbC.jpg

Looks like you dodged a bullet. It could have been much worse. You will want to look out for infection more than anything so switch the substrate to paper towel for now and do a betadine soak.
