Heat lamp question

Greetings,

Currently i have a corn snake, he is about a year old. His heat source is a UV heat lamp, do i leave the heat lamp on all night or do i turn it off at night before i go to sleep?

If the temps in the room the snake is in drop too low at night you'll need the lamp on.
