I've been wanting these for years. Santa gave me some money, and in a whim I kind of looked around and I came across a Christmas sale I couldn't pass up. They're imports. I'd much rather have CBB, but I never seem to have the extra cash. So, hopefully these will do well. I now have to get started building their permanent enclosure.

This is the female right after I unboxed her. The male is very similar, but a little smaller. I assume they came from Guyana.

Thanks, y'all! I finally got their new enclosure done. I'll be adding more plants in the next few weeks. But, overall, I like it.

Pictured here with my lovely daughter in the role of Vanna White. My egyptian tortoise is on the bottom left. The bottom right will soon get a door and be an extra 3x3 ft enclosure.

Looks like a very nice set up. So is it 6x3x3? How are you enjoying your s. pullatus?

The Spilotes section is actually 6'L x 4'H x 3'D.

I'm really liking them. They're still pretty shy. Being wild caught imports doesn't help with that. But, they're really cool snakes. I'm hoping maybe next year I can get some eggs.

It's mostly plywood, with epoxy waterproofing.

What are you using for interior heating...RHP? One or mutiple? What's your temp gradient like?

Do you have any close up pics from the inside?

Heating, currently, is one 100 watt ceramic heat emitter and one regular 40 watt incandescent light bulb. Most of the enclosure stays between 73-75 degrees with a basking area under the CHE set to 90 by thermostat.

I'll post some more photos of the interior later. I've been trying to let the new imports settle in without bothering them much.
