So my boa has stopped eating. We are going on about 100 days now.
I wouldn't normally worry about this, except he is perfectly willing to kill live prey, but then he loses interest and leaves the deceased rats body alone.
This has happened twice now....

Welcome to the forum! Snakes will sometimes go on hunger strikes towards the beginning of winter. However, if you see something is wrong with the boa, take it to a vet.

Interesting.
I guess my issue is I cant really tell if something is wrong. He seems to be acting normally in every respect, except the eating. What made me worry was he killed a rat awhile back, but then didn't eat it. So I sort of rationalized it by thinking well maybe it was to big, because it might have been, maybe. So I waited around another few days and went a got him a medium size one, and same thing, he killed it, but didn't eat it. Maybe I am wrong in my thinking on this issue, but I find that to be very strange.
Yesterday I felt a bit better about everything when I took the top off his cage, and within about 5 minutes, he slithered out and began exploring the living room, which is pretty normal for him. So its not like he's lethargic or otherwise behaving strangely. Plus, I have been able to observe him drinking, so that's good.

He kills the rats because he's not hungry and doesn't want the rat in with him.

I'd opt to only trying every 2 weeks right now if there isn't any other issues. How big is the snake?

In addition, go over your husbandry again ensuring the right humidity and heat levels. Commonly something can become "off".
