A friend of mines Bearded Dragon recently laid eggs, when i saw them i would say that half of them were MUCH smaller then the others, almost half the size.
At first i thought that it was because she (the BD) wasn't getting enough calcium while she was gravid. am i correct? what do u think the problem was?

Calcium doesn't determine the size of the egg but other nutrients can. Protein, fat, B vitamins, etc. Dehydration can also cause small eggs, and so can the mother just being young. Basically anthing that would affect the mother's hormone levels.

Calcium problems are more likely to result in transparent spots on the shells, eggbinding from the mom not being able to form shells at all, that kind of stuff. The size of eggs has to do with how big the yolk is more than any shell problem.

Infertile eggs are often on the small side, too. Were all of the eggs fertile?

Best thing to do is candle the eggs, if you can see veins then the eggs are good, otherwise they are duds.
