Heya there,

I'm an amateur snake owner and I'm new to this forum.
I have had 3 cornsnakes for about 4 months now and I think it's time to ask for advice since I am still shaking from 2 hours ago.

So, I have 2 medium sized Cornsnakes in one viv and the smaller one (I think female) has been shy from the beginning and has mostly been hiding in her hide. My other snake (I think a male) is very nice and I haven't had any trouble feeding him, very relaxed except when handling, this is why I don't handle them anymore. Today, I thought it would be a good idea to try and feed them togheter in one viv since theyre always hugging eachother and don't seem to have a problem. Starting the second mouse I gave my male snake (also a little bigger snake) my girl snake starts to eat the mouse aswell and a big fight breaks out inbetween them. The smaller girl snake almost choked my bigger sweet snake which I luckily prevented from dying by hitting my girl snake with a bamboo little stick (it broke my heart but I had to) and putting soap in her mouth. Eventually I managed to break them apart and temporarily moved the bigger one to a div cage which isn't suitable for a permanent stay.

I'm letting them be alone for the night but is it okay to put them back togheter tomorrow?

Thank you in advance!

Corn snakes are solitary. There is absolutely no reason to house corn snakes together. This is one of many reasons why.
