Hi there, new to the forum!
I am new to the large python scene and I purchased a White Tiger Reticulated python male juvenile from Ivory Connection at the NARBC reptile expo a couple weeks ago. It's been great learning and researching everything I can about them and snake is gorgeous and love how active they are and how smart they seem.
Snake was around 30 inches when I purchased him. After his first day pup meal in my care, he looks to have already grown which is very exciting haha. I didnt ask many questions as I had a general knowledge about retics and alot of common sense really comes into play I have noticed. But I didnt ask about the snakes parents and/or locality of this snake. Is there anyway to verify if my snake is a mainland?

Welcome to the forum! We're glad you're here.
I can't determine whether or not the snake is a mainland, but congrats on the new addition! I'm glad to see you did a bit of research on retics in general.

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome! I have finally got ahold of the breeder and realized it was a separate facebook he had. But none the less I did find out my new slithering friend is a mainland male.
I have him in a 20gal sterilite tub. With a UTH. And been keeping that hotspot nice for him and keeping humidity levels around 70% problem is temps have been dropping lately here in north Texas. Tomorrow will be 80 for a high but cold front coming. Now heater will be coming on but house is generally kept 72 to keep everyone comfortable. However everyone does not include my new buddy. I have the tub stable by adding a heat lamp about 8" from the tub to help heat without getting close to the plastic and seems to be helping. But I know this snake will grow quickly, and with that factor and wanting to do right by this snake. I'm thinking I may just order an Animal Plastics T10. It is 48"long x 24"deep x 15" tall. And go ahead and get the 80amp radiant heat panel from Reptile Basics. I realize cage may be too big for a 32" juvenile but I can definitely control the heat better with the RHP. I also have a Vivarium Ve-100 thermostat to use with it.
Any thoughts?
