About two months ago I purchased a one and half-year-old female boa constrictor at a reptile expo. When I first got her, she made audible breathing noises, but it stopped after just a few days. Recently I noticed on her throat there is a lump. It is soft to the touch, and goes back in when I apply any pressure to it, but pops out again shortly after. She is eating medium frozen thawed rats every 14 days. Is this possibly an RI? Or an abscess of some kind? I opened her mouth and there was no excessive mucus and everything seemed fine, this lump is just making me uneasy.:no: Any help would be really appreciated.:yes:
