I have spring peeper tadpoles I rescued from a drying pool. They started out as eggs and being somewhere around 180 tadpoles. A few died off after hatching and some were fed to my painted turtles. I have 140 now and about 5 have arms and legs. I have 2 tadpoles with deformed tails. One has a tail that looks kind of like a fish tail and another when looking top down it's tail y's at the end. What effect will this have on the frog? Will they just absorb the deformed tail or will it somehow cause a deformity in the juvenile frog? I intend to release most of these back into the wild when matured. Some will be feeders for my painted turtles and maybe some of the juvenile frogs for my northern ring necked snake.
