What size enclosure would be needed to house a baby carpet python. Is a 12x12x18, a good size to keep him in?

My carpet was in 9 liter plastic bin until 6 month.

I would place a baby carpet in an adult-size enclosure. Your small enclosure will be fine for a couple months, but not much beyond that.

You want an enclosure to be at minimum Length+Width equal to or greater than the snake's length, and the Length alone equal to the snake's length for more active species. Carpets are also semi-arboreal, and most spend a lot of time climbing from what I can tell, so I'd advise 2'-3' of height vs a mere 18".

They can survive on much less, but they deserve more than a bare minimum.

A 4x2x2 is a good sized adult enclosure. Babies can go in smaller cages or straight to adult enclosures. Just make sure to provide lots of hides, branches, and floor covering. I think a 12x12x18 is pretty small and even a baby carpet will outgrow that soon. I like 60qt tubs or 2x2s to start my young ones in.
