i'm thinking about getting a female companion for my giant day gecko (if you have one i'll buy it) and i've been readin about breeding them, and it seem pretty easy except im not 100% sure on incubation....what temps should it be at, does it need humidity (if not would they be ok with it anyways because thats how my incubator is) i know how long it takes, but thats about all i know LOL! so if anyone knows about this could you please tell me because i cant find it on any sites
thanks alot,
hi chunky, we have incubated day gecko eggs before .this is all we did
100% humidity (but the eggs where kept completly dry) temps around 85f, I dont remember exactly how long it took for the eggs to hatch
this was a few years ago.

do you put them in closed contianers? or do you poke some holes in the containers?
the eggs where always stuck to something, they are gluers so remove whatever they stuck the eggs to and incubate that ,just keep the eggs off of the damp vermiculite.

p.s this is what worked for us ,im sure there are many people that do it different

my incubator i am making is a styrofoam cooler with water in the bottom, and there is an aquarium heater in the bottom (so that takes care of they heat and humidity) and i have a rack that the containers of eggs sit on (plus a screen net in case the eggs hatch when im not there and they fall in the water) so would i just put the thing that the eggs are stuck to onto the rack and im done? i have giant madagascar day gecko's...are they gluers? i heard somewhere that not all day gecko's are gluers.(gluers meaning they stick the eggs to somethin)
That is what we had too.(madagasgar giant day geckos)
[so would i just put the thing that the eggs are stuck to onto the rack and im done?]
That would probably work.

alright i'll try that, but i'll also have veiled eggs incubating....so i guess i should find out if they have the same requirements or not.
also, do you guys have any female day gecko's i could buy because i need one to breed with my male, or do you know of anyone who does? i live about an hour away from toronto so i could drive there and pick it up.
Thanks
we don't have them anymore, but Port Credit Pet Center has some right now.
