I keep mine in a very simple set up. Rubbermaid with newspaper substrate. Warm side hide and cool side hide. Water dish and humid hide when he's about to shed.
Dimesions? How long is your tank to be able to fit two hide boxes? Mine is 36 inches long, and I can only fit one hide box with the water bowl.

Wrath,
How big is your snake and how big is you hide box? Granted my ball python is young and not very big yet but I could fit another 5 hides if I wanted to. The Rubbermaid I use is about 24" wide by 16" deep and about 8" high...give or take.
I have read that balls (snakes in general) feel more comfortable in hides that they can feel around them. So small hides are better for them. The hide that he uses 90% of the time is a cave that is about 8"x6".
I'm going to need bigger hides and I plan on putting my ball in a bigger enclosure when he's bigger but it works well for now.

Hey Corr,
What type of tank setup is that? A custom or something you can buy. I like the looks of it.
It's a custom 50 gallon (36x18x18). It doesn't quite look like that anymore because I had two more built with glass tops (instead of screen) and stacked them... keep meaning to take some pics and post them...
Ya, I like :) Did you have them build for you or?
A local guy made them for 75 bucks each. I could barely buy the materials for that much!
