This is an animal I have A LOT of respect for. I have been going back and forth for many years whether to bring one home, for a variety of reasons. I recently lost my big boa and decided it was the right time.
Today was Repticon. I went in without any particular morph in mind, as I just have a love for the species itself. I'll keep this thread updated as he grows.
I already had an 8x3x2 AP cage.

Very cool addition. I think Tigers are my favorite retic morph.
Awesome pickup. I've wanted one for so long. They're prohibited in my province so I can have any. I should move in.. Got an extra room

I do think they are beautiful. I know they aren't the most "exciting," as they were an early morph. I like that they are unique, but still somewhat close to nature.

That is a shame. I have felt the same way about hots, but perhaps it's just not meant to be!

Awe man, welcome to the addiction. You going to go ahead and put the little one I the 8x3?

I'm excited to have him! Yep, I put him in there. I know a lot of people prefer to start in a smaller enclosure and work their way up, but I've always felt if they can survive in an entire jungle, they can navigate 8 feet! He has two hides (warm and cool side), which he uses. He took a meal after a couple days of having him without hesitation.

Youre going to fall in love with the species. If you only have the 2 hides and a barren cage I'd add some more hides and perches. Put a bunch of branches or some things to climb. Young retics are rather arboreal. And they'll add some visual barriers for the little guy. I say goes as big as you can... if it's setup properly there's no issue with a big cage.
Man I wish I could get one but they are a no no in my province. Awesome pick up bud

Thanks guys. I am trying to only get reptiles that are of my highest interest level, even if it takes me a long time to work out the details. Excited to watch this guy grow.

Sorry for the quality. Snake room is in the basement and my camera quality isn't great.

Thanks guys.
I'll have to get some outside shots in the near future. Can't wait for this guy to keep growing. The responsiveness and awareness is unlike most other snake species I have owned.
