I snapped a few phone pics of my boy Rudy during a couple of water changes so I figured I’d throw em up here.

That's gotta be amazing to have such a mature snake. Great job!

Looking great, he must be some kind of record for a life span by now. What, how much, and how often does he eat?

Agreed! Older snakes are such rare gems in the hobby.

Hey, been very busy so haven’t been on for a couple weeks. He generally eats a medium rat every 2-3 weeks. Occasionally due to availability, he might get 2 smalls or even a large (and then go 3-4 weeks). Just about every year he goes 6 to 10weeks without feeding (maybe mating season?).

Ya, my mature males go off feeding through the mating season, while the females rarely miss a meal. I recently started feeding them quail or chickens (sized proportionately to the snake) after the largest female seemed uninterested in rats. Most will happily take either, though I do have one 2016 juvie that refused to switch from from anoles to rodents. He was finally switched to day-old quail chicks a few months after he had really outgrown the anoles, now he takes regular chicks along with the rest of the remaining 2016's.
