Hi guys, let me start by introducing myself, my name is Mark, father of 2 kids, i am from the philippines and acity dweller.

i am also not into snakes and reptiles, but i always admire them at pet shops and tbh, i am a little afraid of them.

Today, i found a little snake in our cupboard, its green with gray and about a pinkie finger in thickness and approx 24 inches in length. (Pics attached)

I have no idea how it got into the house but i suspect it came from our mango tree outside. The cupboard was open when i saw it, and my first reaction was to close the cupboard doors, trapping it inside.

I have a lot of questions so please bare with me...

1. What kind of snake is it?

2. Is it venomous? I have a feeling its not.

3. If its not venomous, will it be a good pet? Or should i just let it go back to the wild?

4. Whats the proper way of catching it without me hurting it or it hurting me?

5. What do i feed it? (Assuming that its a good idea to keep it as a pet)

6. Ive held a python once, but it was already tame (zoo), how does a snake become used to being held by a human?

Ive got a lot more questions but ill reserve them for later. Thank you very much for your help :)

Edit: Oops! Seems like i cant attach the pics. How many posts do i need to be able to attach pics?

Unfortunately it's going to be difficult to ID the snake without the photos.

As for keeping it as a pet (assuming it's non-venomous) it's typically not the beat idea to keep wild caught animals as pets. They will often have poor temperaments, can be riddled with parasites and will often not eat due to fear and the stress of captivity.
