Hi Guys,
I'm new here so I hope this is ok.
I'm in Laos, trying to identify this terrapin.
Does anyone have any idea of the species?
It does have some shell rot, which it is being medically treated for, so it does make it a bit harder.

Carapace - L - 22cm, W - 19.5cm
Plastron - L 19 cm

Thank you for your help.

I am only familiar with tortoises and turtles that are commonly kept as pets in the US, so the only help I can offer is that this is an aquatic turtle, not a land tortoise.

Unfortunately I don't recognize the species, but perhaps that may help you a little with husbandry. You'll want to offer water for it to swim in, and my guess is that it most likely eats small fish.

Just curious...how can you tell it's aquatic? The shape of its legs?

That's part of it (those feet are much more suited to swimming than walking on land) but mainly it's the shape of the head and placement of the nostrils. That's a turtle that's built to lurk underwater while poking just the tip of its snout above the surface for air.
