I found around 4-5 of my snakes scales having a very light brown colouration and one with some of the scale already ebbing away. I have read that it is good to soak the snake in a betadine solution bath (along with ointment) and I do intend to do so as I have already bought the materials. Now, here's my concern, the snake is currently in his 'in-blue' or opaque stage in shedding. I'm worried, should I start the betadine baths now or, should I wait for him to finish his shed? I don't want to damage any of the new skin but I also don't want to let the rot fester. I'm pretty new to this so I'd love any and all help I can get.

It would be helpful to have a picture, but by now I am sure you have already soaked your snake. Post a picture, and keep me updated, I’ll help you the best I can.

Allow the animal to shed first, however it's not wrong to treat early by the betadine soaking. These animals heal slowly, but as long as your husbandry is correct, and they are feeding, their immune system will kick in and function accordingly.
