Hi all, been looking and reading through all your threads, not sure if I missed it or I just can't find them but I am interested in seeing your reptile set-ups. here is mine.

Any thing you think I could add/change to make our snakes have a better life?

mine are nothing special right now because nobody is full grown but I am in the planning stages for "adult homes" for everyone. Hope to start construction in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully more people post here so I can get some ideas.

The ceramic heat bulb is red because I thought the normal one was too bright for him, blue LED is for me to see inside, not on all the time and he doesn't seem to mind at all.

Anyone else have any info on if i am doing anything wrong? He seams really happy now he is in his new home, Struggling get his humidity right at the moment, it never goes below 50% i try to keep it at 55% but i am thinking he is going in to shed and not sure how i'll get it closer to 70%-80%

Yep, a humid hide is a good idea if you are having trouble keeping the enclosure humidity where you want it. Some people just add an extra humid hide around shed time.

well as I'm still new to pythons and well reptiles in general I am guessing what I have learnt so far is that his eyes have gone blue so that means he is just starting the shed cycle, is that correct? what should his humidity be, I checked this morning and it was around 57% so I sprayed the enclosure and added a small water bowl in the hot end. I have also put some loose sphagnum moss in the hot end. does this sound ideal?

I'd say it's main phase but a snake know she's going to shed 1-2 days before and she start hiding before her eyes went blue.

Well here's mine for my Ball, in case you're still up for some pics.
Just finished setting this up today actually! This is his final setup-- big enough for him to live the rest of his life in!

Glad you enjoyed it, I think after the tweaking Darrell did it turned out rather nicely.

What does the enclosure consist of? Just wanting tips and advice really? Mine seems really happy at the minute but if I can give him a better life I will. He ate again today no problems at all, he's only pooped once since I have had him and ate 3 times is that normal for a baby ball?

Well, the cage itself is a Boaphile-- half of the 6 foot one so three feet long, and I think just around 2 feet deep?? Not quite sure of that part, I haven't personally measured it myself in a while. X'D

For temps and Humidity: One UTH hooked to a Thermostat set to 95 degrees Fahrenheight, and damp EcoEarth (Coco Figer Bedding) mixed with ReptiBark as Substrate.
My humidity is actually pretty amazingly high-- not enough to cause problems since I am sure it won't stay this high for more than a couple of days, but for future reference to anyone I would suggest only making the substrate SORT of damp if you're using a plastic terrarium like mine. It holds in temps well, but also holds in humidity like a champ. X'D

After that I just have the classical stuff: Two hides, one on hot side one on cold side, a water bowl big enough for him to soak in if he wants, and then some decorative plants and logs and whatnot to let him climb/give more cover to make him more secure.

...I think I got everything! XD

So far with the UTH on a Thermostat, I think it will work out well. I have heard REAL good things about Radiant Heat Panels too though! So if you can, I would suggest grabbing those over a UTH if you can install it/have it pre-installed.

And yes it is!
They eat more than they likely should. XD But that seems quite fine! As long as he has actually pooped for you already and showed he has bowl movement, it should be fine~

Mine did that in the beginning too, but now he poops regularly after every other feeding!

changed a few things

What are you keeping in the top one? What watt bulb and what temps are you getting?

Jaseb1987

bottom viv is 4ft long 2ft wide and 2ft height

Top viv is my 5 month old pastel python, he has a 100w ceramic heat bulb on a dimmer thermostat with a white/blue led on a 12hr timer, hes on eco earth substrate with repti bark on top, temps 90c hot end 75c cooler end with ambient temp of 80c humidity 55% up too 80% if I spray the viv down.

Any tips or criticism appreciated :D

Many thanks
