Unless the snake is getting skinny or otherwise appears unhealthy, it's probably nothing to worry about. I work with the closely related Stimson's pythons, and their appetites are generally decreased during the winter. Feeding them is kind of hit or miss.

now if I could only get my actual children to slow down eating during the cold months...

My Childrens has been eating like a pig since I got it...3x fuzzy mice every seven days. My ambient temps are like 72F at night and up to 75-77F during the day, depending on the amount of sunshine I get on the back side of the house.

Thanks for the feedback to all. In Australia we are in the summer months, this is the time we normally feed & when it eats it normally eats well. As you said my children's does not look unhealthy & is active when taken out of the cage Thanks again. :crazy2:

This happened with my corn several years back and she refused to touch her food. We even tried live to see if she had changed preferences, and nothing. We took her to a snake person and they said she is fine and to let just just be for a while. She was active but not hungry. She didn’t eat for 4 months. I tried once every couple weeks. Then one day after 4 months she started eating again. No issues.
