Hello there fellow reptile lovers!
A quick introduction about myself. For as long as I could remember since I was a kid I used to be deathly afraid of snakes up until last November when my wife and I decided that we wanted to try to get a lizard (We did Parrots, Dogs, Fish [Salt and Fresh and had an Octopus which was fun!], tried Cats and other Mammals [Wife was allergic] to mix things up a bit. We went into our local reptile shop eyeballing the Beardies, Frilled Lizards and even some Monitors. Eventually, I built up the courage to hold a snake with no intent on purchasing one so I was handed this little tiny Albino Western Hognose snake. After the initial shock wore off I quickly discovered how adorable, curious and friendly snakes can be and we left with our first snake.
Fast-forward 15 months and m wife and I now have a decent collection.
4.4.0 Ball Python
0.1.0 Carpet Python
0.1.0 False Water Cobra
2.1.1 Green Tree Python
1.0.0 Redfoot Tortoise
1.2.0 Tri-Color Hognose
0.0.1 Quince Monitor
1.0.0 Western Hognose
+1 Dog and +1 Curly Hair Tarantula that belongs 110% to my wife ;D
They are just way to easy to fall in love with. My wife is a big fan of the ball pythons and my personal favorites are the Green Tree Pythons. I can gush for hours on how awesome (and sweet) GTPs can be.
I'm looking forward to getting involved in a reptile community and I hope to learn as much as I can from everyone else and I'm excited to share stories and experiences of my own.
Picture Tax!
This here is Jasper, he's a super sweet male GTP I have who is actually perched on my office chair right behind me as I type this. :D
