1st Red Tail Boa

Hi,

I purchased my first Red Tail Boa and I am already in love with him. The breeder said he was a VPI T+ and I was just wondering if he would keep his color or will he turn darker? Thanks!

Ohh ok. I bought a 20gal long tank for him and I have a 11x11 Flukers heating pad under the tank but the temperatures seem to be 80-89 on the hot side and 75ish on the cold side. I read you can tape another heating pad to the side of the tank, should I do that to up the temperature a little bit?
