I just got a zoo med 20 gallon long tank, (30" long) and I
Bought a tank stand that's for a 20 gallon (25" long) so Im going to put the heat pad underneath but I'm not sure if I need to put the spacers or not because the tank is kinda raised up already and plus it seems too big to put them as well. So is it okay enough to not put spacers? Also, The stand I have is wood.

You should really get a stand that fits better. One bump and the tank may shift and the rim will fall off the edge. As to ventilation for the heat pad, i dont know, sorry, but you probably need to raise it. Sorry i dont have more input... just worried about the size of that stand.

I would get some grippy stuff for the bottom of the tank so it doesn't fall off. Thats a recommendation for anyone really.

2nd I've never really used spacers. I've found it to be unnecessary as long as it doesn't get too hot and you aren't dumping ice cold water on the floor of the cage all the time.
