I picked up a female Stimson's python, which seem to be hard to find in the US. I'm not sure why because they are awesome. Unlike other members of the genus Antaresia they hold onto their baby colors and patterns. They are also reputed to be the mellowest of the lot. She certainly is not bitey at all. Now I have to find more!
She is a tiny thing, roughly the size of a hatchling corn snake and is eating small pinky mice. It's hard to believe just how little she is after being accustomed to woma and ball pythons. She should max out at around 3 feet as an adult. She also has a subtle iridescent sheen. She's got a reddish ground color like the Stimson's pythons found in Pilbara, though I'm not sure of her exact provenance.
Her name is Clover due to the pattern on her head that resembles a lucky 4 leafed clover. And she really IS lucky. She made it out of the shop in coastal Florida in the last pickup before the carrier shut down service in anticipation of hurricane Irma. That box was an escape pod.

I have small hands and she still looks little in them. That's one tiny python!
