Hello, I would appreciate any help with this. I found this dead snake in my driveway, must have been run over. The issue is that a man was bitten by a rattlesnake just across the street earlier this summer and I am worried this is a baby rattlesnake. I have no idea what a baby rattlesnake looks like and need your help. Thanks! I posted yesterday but it never showed up.

It is a juvenile Racer (Coluber constrictor sp.). It is harmless. Location would help with determining the subspecies, these can be found almost throughout the US. These feed primarily on reptiles (including venomous snakes) and rodents, but also take amphibians, large insects, and just about anything else they can overpower and swallow whole.
