Hello all. I made a post on here last year in regards to my then 11 year old male Hognsoe snake who was not eating. It was the first time he had not eaten in 2 months when I initially made that post and I was concerned. At the time I tried scenting the food with tuna, braining it, playing with the temperature and nothing worked. And then about 3 weeks after I made that post I left him a regular defrozen fuzzy overnight and I woke up the next morning and it was gone. From that point onward he ate consistently every 10 days until about 3 months and a week ago when he again stopped eating.
I don't weigh him but while he seems a bit less thick then he did 3 months ago he seems in good shape. He drinks almost every day and is rather active. I tried playing with the heat. I now have it set to 88 degrees on the warm side. Maybe I should get it higher? I have not tried scenting it with tuna like last time because he seemed repulsed by it when I tried it last year. I tried again to feed him today, he smells the mouse and just ignores it and shows no interest what so ever.
I would be grateful to get any advice regarding whether there are any methods I should try? Or if I should consider taking him to a vet.
Thanks for the help in advance!
