Hello. I'm new to the forum (and worried sick). I own two baby garters. Was hand-feeding feeding them cut fuzzies today. One of them is particularly skittish and spends most its time in an aspen-filled hide. Most days, I can lure it out to feed it, but today it refused to come out. When it finally went for the food, it dragged it back to the hide and then dropped (!) it. I tried to pull the mouse piece away, but it got it down too fast. It had a good couple pieces of aspen stuck to it. Is there anything I can do? Any advice?

Generally any healthy snake can ingest bedding without a problem. They will do so in the wild. If the snake has water, is hydrated etc then no need to worry.

Thank you! I'll keep a close on him, just in case.
Yes, don't worry. Unless the snake is small and eats something that cant be passed easily (like a large chunk of bark), there's nothing to worry about.
