How big is boa? Boa is as big as you want boa to be, and don't let anybody else tell you otherwise!

I'll say roughly 6.5 feet. But, I'm only saying it in this one thread.

I'd say it's at least 7'. My 7' girl looks smaller than that on me, and I'm 5'1".

Try measuring her. I usually get pretty close with my snakes by 'offering' them up against an object of known length (their viv for example) and taking it from there. Alternatively a length of string laid out along the snake's back gives a good approximation.

If I were to guess though is also be in the 7' range - how old is she?

Note as an aside, boas should not be chunky. They should be slender (relatively speaking for what is a heavier bodied snake) to be in top condition.

I don't think she's quite as big as 8', but you'd have to measure her.

The photos aren't good to determine weight from, but she looks ok from what I can make out in the photos. As long as you're feeding her appropriately-sized meals once a month, she should be fine. I feed all my boas under 8' a regular large rat (no jumbos or XL or colossals for any of my boas) or 1/2 lb rabbit.
