Translation: what you see is not what you get

IMO, unless I see the exact animal I order, I'm not buying. I'll admit I didn't do that with my first two snakes, my Blotched King and my Hypo Sunkissed Corn, but those were only $30 & $50 respectively, not north of $400 ($499 actually). All my other snakes have been snakes that had actual pics of them.

But, if you like playing the lottery...

I've not had a problem with XYZ, other than that they were not great about responding in a timely manner when I e-mailed with questions. The snake was fine though. For a high value snake I would insist on seeing photos of the exact animal for sale from *any* seller though. I understand that if they're selling a bunch of $25 snakes you pay your money and take your chances (though IMO it's good for customer goodwill and future business to send a pic if the buyer asks for one anyway). But in this case if they're not willing to take the time to snap a photo of a $500 snake and e-mail it to you, then you should not be willing to part with your $500.
