Well, I finally found the time to post the pics of my completed cage. I converted an old entertainment center into my cage. The dimensions are 4'w x 2'h x 20"d. The top and bottom are 1" laminated particle board. The back is 1/2" sealed/stained pine plywood. For heat I used a 50 - 60 gallon cobra heat mat inside the cage for 24 hour floor heat, and a 100watt bulb during the day to boost air temp. Overall I think it came out pretty well.

looks great! i built 2 of my cages out of furniture, and one was an entertainment unit almost like that one.

Great looking cage. Going to have to keep an eye out for people tossing nice display possibilities like that out.

The front is plexiglass set into tracks. Each free edge is mounted into an old metal storm window frame peice for strength and to stop the glass from flexing.

The snake that lives in the is my 1yr old red tail Neo. He seems to really like it.

I don't know how much work it is, take off the back, gut the tv innards, put on a new back, stain and seal if you like, replace the front with a pair of duel line tracks and a glass type of your choice.

probably sounds simpler then it is.
