Are snakes mites from the USA? Or they imported on other snakes outside of the country or on bedding that is imported from out of the country. Sorry if this question is stupid. P.S. My snakes don't have mites. I'm just wondering because I want to take my snakes out side.
Ya I like an answer to that one also... If they only bother snakes, they don't travel more the 8 feet on their own, then how are they getting around so easily?

No snake mites are not from the US. Depending on where you are the climate may be able to support non native populations but I've never seen any conclusive proof this to be the case so I'm pretty confident you could take your sane outside without issue.
I believe the general understanding is that they are originally from Africa, but nobody really knows for sure.

Hi, they are properly called "reptile mites", they are not specific to snakes, they can infect lizards, too.
