As T lepidus are a European lizard they can be kept quite successfully outdoors in the UK. Being such a uv loving species they thrive in our summers in particular and then with some careful background heat in the winter to keep the frost of they can brumate really quite well.

So I decided to build Julius a nice 4x4 enclosure. Quite pleased with the outcome...

Just watch out for the birdies, cats, weasels, and other animals looking for a little snack :D

It has a chicken wire roof and I'm waiting on some uv transmitting polyethylene so I can build a better roof for it, particularly come winter.

Nice :) It can get so insanely hot during summer here that I wouldn't try it with anything that doesn't love heat.

BTW can he climb those walls?

T lepidus are not great climbers so no he can't get up the sides. Seven if he could there's a roof. He is settling in well there - nice to see hin display very natural behaviours.
