View Full Version : 2 year old hognose for 150 euros, worth?
Hello im about to buy a 2 year old hognose for 150 euros, is it worth it? Because i've seen on other forums the same species for about 60$ or 100$ (like BHB reptiles). Thank you in advance.
That depends on the market where you are located. Something priced a certain way in the U.S. would be different here in Canada or where you're located in Portugual.

It also depends on the morph. For a straight wild type hoggie that's expensive.
For a tri-colour its getting toward a fair price.

Different species in different hemispheres. :D

Its probably just a normal one, a 2 year old female, probably wild caught too. It has been for sale on this store since November 2016 there's a photo of it if you can identify the specie. https://tortuga-petshop.com/3059-thickbox_default/cobra-nariz-de-porco.jpg

I wouldn't pay €150 for a wild caught hoggie tbh.

Depends a lot in the market price in your area. Reptiles up here are more expensive then compared to the US or Europe. I'd look around to see what the average price is in your area that will give you the best idea.
Something is only worth, what someone else is willing to pay for it... supply and demand fall in there too somewhere... If it looks worth it to you then go with your gut... Does it feel right?:no::yes::no::yes::no:
150 EUR is a lot for Portugal standards... I'm paying 90 EUR for much more exotic species here. Don't think it's wild caught though, would be weird for a Hog in Europe.
