Nice pickups! Your collection is growing fast :) shame more people don't keep Dumerils, such a beautiful snake. I wish mine wasn't such a picky eater.

Well, here's to hoping that mine isn't, but the seller didn't mention anything.

My husband is going to divorce me over snakes if everyone keeps posting pics.

It's been a while since I first posted this thread, almost two months, and just as long since my Dumeril's ate--it has been defensively striking everything I offer, both F/T mice and rat pinkies, or just ignores everything I leave behind.
So, I finally surrendered--losing the battle but not the war!--and I went to a local pet shop that sells live feeders, thinking that my offering would be acceptable to my reluctant, yet victorious nemesis, the Dumeril's Boa.
Well, to make a short story...well, short...the mouse was nowhere to be found and the snake was in the hot hide; so, I'm guessing that the snake finally ate, but we renew the war next week when I again will proffer another F/T in my quest to gain food domination!

Looks like the Hog Island has a bit of a crusty face. Did you ever pick it up, how did it look?
Also congrats on getting the Dum to eat. :) A few live meals and it may be ready to try f/t again.

I'm starting to think the same thing after a while...a few more live meals before trying f/t again.
