Do Retics change colour as they get Older?

I have a Male Platinum Male Reticulated Python and the pet shop told me he will get brighter/lighter (more yellow) as he get older?

Have I been had or is this true?

Thanks,

Simon

I don't know if each snake is different or each species is different... My Purple albino retics body has become lighter, while his head is turning bright yellow... Now they'll all dull out right before they shed... :sorry:

Yup. My normal girl has gotten darker with age. Still has nice contrast in the sun, but she has more of a dark steel gray background now than the pumpkin orange she had as a baby. The gray stands out more.

Depends on the morph some get brighter my fire tiger will become much more yellow with age, some like albinos fade out and normals can darken.
